Abdel Nasser El-Wahy Foundation for Development: An Institutional Model for Human Development in Egypt
Amid the social and economic challenges facing communities, the role of civil society work stands out as a fundamental pillar in building human potential and achieving sustainable development. With this belief, the Abdel Nasser El-Wahy Foundation for Development was established in 2025, with a clear vision to empower Egyptian citizens and enhance their quality of life across all regions of the Republic.
The foundation is characterized by an institutional structure that does not depend on individuals, but rather operates under clear governance systems, ensuring the continuity and effectiveness of its work—free from personal or individual considerations. It was officially registered under No. 7780 for the year 2025, in accordance with Law No. 149 of 2019 regulating civil society work and its executive regulations issued by Decree No. 104 of 2021, making it a legally recognized entity operating throughout the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Our Mission
The Abdel Nasser El-Wahy Foundation for Development focuses on human development through interventions in five core areas that are essential to dignified living:

It collects zakat, alms, and charitable donations, directing zakat funds to their legitimate Islamic channels, while carefully investing alms to generate financial returns that are reinvested in sustainable development projects. This model blends humanitarian concern with economic sustainability, ensuring long-lasting and effective impact.
